About the event

Fall 2026 is closer than it looks — and HB 959 is not optional.

North Carolina's Session Law 2025-38 requires every public school to deliver Social Media & Mental Health instruction across 8 specific components. Elementary, middle, and high school. Written into the standard course of study.

Most districts haven't mapped their curriculum against these 8 requirements yet. Johnston County did — and found five gaps. Odds are yours has similar.

In this 50-minute session, Jeff Becker (founder, Life Lab) walks you through the law in plain English, shows you a side-by-side coverage map, and hands you a framework you can take to your board this week. Not a pitch — a planning session.
