Audition to Be in a National Life Lab Video
What is Life Lab?
Life Lab creates engaging, video-based lessons shown in middle and high schools across the United States.
Our videos help students build confidence, leadership, emotional strength, and real-world life skills.
They’re fast-paced, relatable, and built to feel more like YouTube than a boring classroom lecture.
If selected, you’ll be featured in professionally produced videos used by schools nationwide.
Who We're Looking For
You do NOT need professional acting experience.
You DO need:
• Comfort speaking on camera
• Strong reading skills (you’ll read scripts clearly and naturally)
• Confidence and personality
• Coachability
• Reliability and professionalism
Experience in theater, YouTube, announcements, acting classes, or content creation is a plus — but not required.
We care more about authenticity than perfection.
Important Requirements
Must be 14–22 years old
• Parent/guardian must sign a consent form
• Must have clean social media
• Must be available for rehearsals and shoot days in the next 30–45 days
• Must arrive on time and prepared
These are professional productions. We expect professionalism.
Compensation
Selected students can earn:

Up to $500/shoot day.

That’s roughly $70 per hour.

Shoot days typically run 6–8 hours.

How many students will be selected?
We’re selecting 15–20 students for upcoming productions.
What if I’ve never acted before?
That’s okay. Confidence and coachability matter more than experience.
Will I be memorizing scripts?
You’ll be reading from a teleprompter, so strong reading skills are important and you need to read the script SEVERAL TIMES before shoot day.
